Networking

The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce provides a wide range of opportunities to help members grow their businesses and build solid relationships with potential customers and suppliers. Networking events such as our Breakfast Before Hours, Business-to-Business Luncheons, and Business After Hours are conveniently scheduled at different times of the day and month to allow participation by even the busiest executives.

Special Events

Special events like our Business on the Green Classic and our Business Expo and Job Fair tradeshow events provide excellent networking and business-building opportunities. They also allow companies to receive community-wide recognition through sponsoring these major fundraising events for the Chamber of Commerce.

Ribbon Cuttings

For new and relocated businesses, we offer ground breaking and ribbon cutting ceremonies. Chamber Ambassadors, recognized by their red coats and red ribbons, attend these events to help welcome our newest members to the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and to our community.

Member Education

Throughout the year, we offer Member Education sessions and speakers, tailored specifically to the interests of our members. Recent topics have included a State of the Economy Update, Identity Theft, a COBRA insurance update, and a briefing on Employment Law topics. Plus, each month during our Business-to-Business Luncheons, we present a different topic of particular interest to smaller businesses.

Governmental Affairs

As the "Voice of Business," the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce actively works to keep our Members aware of local, regional, state and national issues of importance to the business community. We provide and promote opportunities to build positive relationships with our government and elected officials. And we will continue to take a stance on issues critical to maintaining a vibrant, healthy business environment in Fayette County. One of the best ways for businesses to be involved in this process is to be a part of our Legislative Action Committee.

Leadership and Community Involvement

The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce takes its role in supporting our community very seriously. For example, through our Leadership Fayette program, we help to develop and educate emerging business and community leaders about critical aspects of the Fayette community.

Another important outreach in the community is the Partners in Education program. It is a joint venture of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and the Fayette County Board of Education, designed to encourage partnerships between businesses and Fayette County public schools. Over 200 active Partners in Education participate, donating generously of their time and other resources to provide enhanced educational opportunities for Fayette County students.
