Legislative Action Committee
Spearheading our efforts as the "Voice of Business" in Fayette County, our Legislative Action Committee provides a means to bring awareness in the business community about key business and quality-of-life issues concerning Fayette County and our region. Through monthly lunch meetings, the committee regularly provides speakers on a variety of topics related to governmental and regulatory affairs. The committee also researches and recommends issues for Chamber Board of Directors' review and, if appropriate, take action.
Legislative Action Committee meetings are typically held the first Wednesday of the month at 11:30am on the Chamber Third Floor. Cost is $6 per person for lunch. Check the Chamber Calendar to confirm the next scheduled meeting.
In addition to the monthly lunch meetings, the Legislative Action Committee also coordinates our annual "Dome Roam" to the Georgia State Capital, an annual Fish Fry dinner to honor local elected officials, and a Washington Fly-In event.
