Partners in Education

The Partners in Education Program is a joint effort of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and the Fayette County Board of Education.

The purpose of the Partners in Education program is to provide an avenue for businesses to form partnerships with public schools and educational programs in Fayette County. The ultimate goal is to help prepare the workforce of tomorrow by providing enhanced educational opportunities for our students.

In the spring of each year, nominations are requested from the schools and the community for businesses or organizations to be considered for annual "Outstanding Partners in Education Awards." These awards, which are given at our annual Partners in Education Awards Breakfast in May, are made in recognition of exceptional contributions of Time, Talent, and Treasure given by the selected business recipients.

Partnerships can take many forms, and range from monetary contributions and donations-in-kind, to sponsorships and mentoring or tutoring students. All activities of a business and school partnership should meet educationally sound goals that are jointly developed by both partners. Click here for examples.
