On Thursday, June 14, Southern Natural Gas Company, a Kinder Morgan operated company, contributed $10,000 to the Fayette County Department of Fire & Emergency Services. The grant is intended to help the county purchase valuable equipment for its emergency responders.
“As a company expanding into Fayette County for the first time, we wanted to make a contribution to the community that would have a lasting impact,” said Stephanie Kindregan, Director of Public Affairs for Kinder Morgan. “Public safety is of the utmost importance to us,
and we are pleased to support the emergency responders and their efforts in the county.”
“We greatly appreciate the generosity and support of our community by Southern Natural Gas. This donation will allow the County to purchase a hydraulic spreader, which will greatly enhance our equipment capability at the scene of an accident. This equipment will undoubtedly save lives,” stated David Scarbrough, Fayette County Fire Chief.
A check presentation event was held at the Fayette County Commission’s meeting in Fayetteville on Thursday evening.
