The Chamber’s most prestigious event, the Annual Award Celebration is a gathering of some of Fayette County's most influential business and community leaders. The meeting includes a review of the Chamber's work over the past year and sets the vision for the year ahead. The meeting concludes with the “Exchange of the Gavel” to the incoming Board Chair. Outgoing Board members are honored and prestigious annual awards are presented including:

- Small Business of the Year
- Dreambuilder Award
- Chet Wells Award
- Nonprofit Award of Excellence
- Young Professional of the Year
- Ambassador of the Year
This premier golf tournament is a favorite Chamber event and provides an opportunity for members to build relationships with other golfers, clients and prospects. Usually held the last week of March, the Business on the Green Golf Tournament raises funds to support the Chamber’s strategic mission throughout the year.
Held once a year in August, The Diversity and Inclusion Summits goal is to help businesses build a better, more inclusive business! Join us for an inspiring morning of transformation, connections, and enrichment at the 2020 Inclusion Summit.
The largest tradeshow in the county, the Expo routinely draws thousands of Fayette area consumers to visit 100+ exhibitors showing off the best products and services that can be found in Fayette. Expo is traditionally held the third week of September.
Community Development
The Chamber’s Government Affairs committee invites members to spend a half day at the Georgia State Capitol to observe first-hand the inner workings of the current legislative session. This summit traditionally takes place in February.
The Chamber is proud of its long standing tradition of recognizing and thanking our elected officials for their service to the community. Huie and Bea Bray hosted the"fish fry" at their home for many years. Hundreds of fish later, the Chamber continues to honor our local, state and national leaders by hosting a dinner in June to show appreciation for the work they do to keep our community strong and healthy.
Pancakes & Policy brings local, state, regional and federal policy leaders to the Chamber to discuss issues that affect Fayette County. Held three times a year, the April event focuses on accomplishments of the Georgia General Assembly. The August event focuses on federal policy issues and the November event provides local updates from County and municipal leaders. All Chamber members are invited to attend. (This event was formerly known as the Government Liaison Meeting.)
Leadership Fayette provides existing and emerging leaders with opportunities to enhance their civic knowledge of Fayette County, hone their leadership skills and network with community leaders. Participants will better understand how their community works and be inspired to use their talents to serve the community. Leadership Fayette is an eight month program.

The next Leadership Fayette program session will begin in August 2019. The application window has closed, but keep a lookout for the class of 2020 in the community!
YP Fayette is the Chamber’s Young Professionals network whose mission is prioritizing a culture of community building where young professionals, ages 21-40, are energized, engaged and empowered to shape a legacy of progress and growth in Fayette County. Programming focuses on professional development, opportunities to get connected with business and community leaders, and more ways to get engaged at the Chamber and in the County. All young professionals in and around Fayette County are welcome to join our monthly events, which rotate locations around the county.

What better way to get familiar with a great Fayette Chamber business than by attending Business After Hours? Network with fellow Chamber members, enjoy appetizers and a beverage while you mix and mingle. (4th Thursday of each month, except March and September)
They are back! B2B Luncheon is a monthly business education series that features various business topics and presenters, as well as opportunity to connect with other business leaders. The Chamber has convened a Small Business Committee to collaborate and bring you relevant speakers and topics that will help grow and elevate your business. Economic and Workforce Development
Objective: Functions in support role to Fayette County Public Schools and its strategic decision to create a roadmap for a community-wide talent strategy. This effort will be facilitated by the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government and will create a roadmap for the next three years (2020-2023) focused on developing priorities for investments and programs, identifying gaps, and setting workforce development goals.
Participation in this committee is by invitation only.
Objective: Committee of workforce development professionals to discuss and share workforce updates, best practices, and resources that can benefit Fayette County employers.

Objective: Healthcare Council is designed for businesses and support organizations within Fayette County’s Healthcare industry to share best practices, align resources, and coordinate common enablers to successfully serve the Fayette and surround community. Sub-committees meet throughout the year on specific initiatives.

Objective: Manufacturers Council is designed for best practice sharing, benchmarking, and programing for manufacturing businesses in and around Fayette County. Past programming has included 5S best practices, lean manufacturing, and workforce resources.

Objective: Providing startups and entrepreneurs on the southside of Atlanta access to the education and training they need to succeed. Meetings delve into the insights, relationships, and tools needed to turn ideas into a businesses. Whether you’re just getting started, stuck on issue a particular, or are in need of a refresher, these sessions are for you.
